You can customize the layout of your profile page by clicking and dragging. You can also send and receive messages to your inbox or make posts to everyone on their "wall". There is also a new "wall-to-wall" feature that enables you to see all the past posts between you and another person instead of having to view and search through all posts on your or someone else's wall. There are also Facebook applications to add to your profile page that enable visitors to find quotations, their horoscope, graphic builders, games and other application entertainments. You can adjust the privacy settings on every facet of your profile including your Photo Album and your Wall to be viewed by everyone on your network, your friends or no one. You can also tag images and notes so they are linked to more photos and notes including that person. When a person is tagged, they are notified. You can upload images and videos. You are able to control who sees your profile.
You can step in absolutely free with access to thousands of features and applications. You can create your profile, invite your friends, make your own social network and join different communities. The Wall, Gifts, Marketplace, Pokes, Status, Events, Applications, Facebook Video are Facebook's exclusive features.
Added in 2007 is the facebook.com Marketplace. This service is currently free for all users and allows them to post classified ads in several categories. One is For Sale, where anything from unwanted electronics to old school books are bought and sold.
Housing is another category for people who are looking for a roommate in a housing unit they already have or a place to live if they currently do not have one.
Jobs is where potential employers can post in order to attract people to the positions they have available.
In case those three do not cover what is being advertised, there is an Other category one can post in.
